Agility at Fido's Farm
Fun and Fitness for Both Ends of the Leash!
Dog agility is the sport of performing a variety of obstacles in a timed course. It is great fun and a wonderful opportunity for bonding the handler-dog relationship, getting exercise, increasing strength and improving confidence in the shy dog. Agility provides intellectual stimulation for handler and dog. This activity also helps the dog mature and learn acceptance of different environments, other dogs and new people, and gives the dog a job. Fido's Farm agility students compete in TDAA, AKC, ASCA, NADAC, USDAA, UKC and CPE agility events and have earned novice, open and elite titles.
Prerequisites for Classes:
Healthy dog, current on immunizations including bordatella. Puppies welcome.
______________________________________________________________
Pre-Agility:
For dogs/handlers who have little to no agility experience or who need more foundation work. Puppies welcome. Pre-Agility content includes tunnels, weave poles, table, A-frame, teeter, dog walk, tire, chute, jumps, as well as touch, wrap, sit, stay, recall, down, here, and out. Handlers learn how to walk a course and where to implement front and rear crosses and other handling moves.
Advanced Handling:
Sequencing for dogs that have completed the pre- agility series and are able to perform all agility obstacles as well as the foundation handling skills. Perfect performance is not expected. Learn course strategies and work longer sequences. Focus on crosses, turns, distance work, and speed. For the competitive dog-handler team, refining performance and strategy. Taught by Corinne Berg and her talented and enthusiastic crew of assistant instructors.
6 week session is $100
Classes are held on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Contact Corinne by email, corinne@fidosfarm.com, or phone 253-219-9193 to join. Pre-Agility and Advanced Handling are ongoing. You are welcome to join at anytime.
