Part Two: Review & Building Upon Our Skills

$60 includes both sessions

Want to build confidence and teamwork with your dog?
Would you like to be able to teach your dog tricks?
Do you need your dog's attention on you during obedience or agility class?
Want to develop the desired behaviors in your dog while fading away the bad?
Interested in advancing your training with your dog?
Would you like to be able to reward your dog at a distance?

With positive reinforcement training with the clicker/marker you can build a solid foundation for your dog to advance in any training venue. You will learn the basics of how to use the clicker to help develop a “thinking dog” who is confident, engaged and looking to learn his next job or trick in order to please you as his handler. Clicker/marker training is one of the best tools you can have in your “dog training toolbox”.

Bring your hungry dog, a crate, a six foot leash, and a flat collar. Also bring small pieces of treats – hotdogs, liver, rollover, kibble, cheerios, etc… a good assortment and lots of them will be necessary. Wear pants with pockets or a treat bag. We will provide a clicker and other props.

Home Obedience & Puppy Manners

Fido's has so many opportunities for you and your pooches to learn, we created a special Home Obedience page.

Competitive Obedience

For dog handlers who enjoy competition and relish the opportunity to work as a highly tuned team with their dogs.

Rally Obedience

In Rally Obedience dogs and handlers move through a fun sequence of signed stations which ask the teams to perform various exercises. Rally is more relaxed than competitive obedience, focusing on attitude and enthusiasm. The variety of exercises and courses allows you to show off your versatility and teamwork.

Flyball Mondays with Puget Hounds

Flyball is a fast-paced relay race between two teams of four dogs where each dog must jump a series of four jumps, hit a mechanized box which shoots a ball for the dog to catch, and then return over the four jumps.

Tracking

Teach Fido to help you find those lost keys or track down where in the world the kids have gone. This course will get you off to a great start on a fun outdoor activity and prepare you to begin competitive tracking.
